Each design in the twelve-coin collection is struck from 2 full Troy oz. 999 fine silver in dramatic high relief with an exceptional antiqued finish, measuring 40.50 mm in diameter with a weight of 62.27 grams.

The twelve coin collection is issued by the Cook Islands, with the remarkably low mintage of just 1,000 sets. Breathtaking Design Details Enhanced with an Antique Finish. The reverses individually illustrate images of the twelve gods of Olympus surrounded by symbolic imagery of importance to each God, created by Perth Mint Designer Jennifer McKenna.

Images feature Aphrodite, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Athena, Hades, Hephaestus, Hera, Hestia, Demeter, Poseidon and of course, the king of the gods of Mount Olympus, Zeus. Coins of the series share a common obverse, depicting the diademed portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sculpted by Raphael Maklouf, bordered by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II, " "COOK ISLANDS, " "2 OZ 999 SILVER, " "TWO DOLLARS" and the date. Antiqued Silver Gods and Goddesses of Olympus 12 Coin Set is presented in a three-tiered box, accompanied by three individually numbered authenticity certificates.
