Silver proof features a different design. The designs are Black Kingdom, Red Dawn, and Desert Heat. The Red Dawn design has a layer of rose gold and black rhodium as well as a Swarovski crystal. The Desert Heat coin is completely covered with a layer of gold and the Black Kingdom coin features a black proof finish with selective gold plating.

Each design symbolizes a stage of the sun's appearance. The obverse of each coin displays Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The date and face value are also located here.
