This captivating, unique silver coin of the Masterpieces of Art series has been struck as a tribute to Tutankhamun, the 11th pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt. His reign was short-lived and upon his death he quickly faded into the sands of Egypt. An effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is represented on the obverse of the silver coin.

There are also the inscriptions indicating the name of the Queen, the coins face value and the name of the issuing country. Shown on the reverse of the coin is the image of Tutankhamun decorated with 26 incredible Swarovski crystals. Tutankhamun is famous due to the discovery of his completely intact tomb by the British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922. He continues to hold the worlds fascination and yet still continues to puzzle the world's leading experts. Along the rim of the coin, there are the inscriptions indicating the name of the coin and that of the series.
