The design incorporates the US flag and the inscriptions: "GEORGE WASHINGTON - Father of his Country". At the bottom, an eagle with the inscription: "MS" - Miles Standish's initials. The obvserse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, "COOK ISLANDS" - the country of issue and "25 DOLLARS" - the face value.
