This beautiful 2 Oz Silver coin is the second issue of the Camelot series, dedicated to the legendary tale of King Arthur. In this edition the beautiful Guinevere. The coin has an exceptional High Relief, thanks to the Smartminting technology, has a Proof quality and comes in an elegant case, along with the COA. Limited mintage to only 999 pieces worldwide. The reverse of the coin features King Arthurs wife, Guinevere, in Ultra High relief, sitting by the woods with a thoughtful look.

On the background, a beautiful landscape with trees and the legendary castle of Camelot. On top of the coins reverse the inscriptions: Guinevere the name of the coin and 2016 the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II sitting in the middle of the iconic Round Table as seen from above. Surrounding the table and set around the rim are the twelve round table knights with the helmets in hand, holding their sword towards the centre of the table in the classic pose.

All around the effigy, the inscriptions: COOK ISLANDS the issue country, 10 DOLLARS the face value and ELIZABETH II the name of the Queen. On the bottom of the obverse, the inscription: 2 oz.

This story first appeared in Chrétien de Troyes's Lancelot, the Knight of the Cart and became a motif in Arthurian literature, starting with the Lancelot-Grail of the early 13th century and carrying through the Post-Vulgate Cycle and Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur. Guinevere and Lancelot's betrayal of Arthur preceded his eventual defeat at the Battle of Camlann by Mordred.
