A classic old Polynesian - Cook Islands ceremonial adze. Note the missing small segment towards the end of the shaft.

About 4 inches missing; broke off a long time ago. The usual age cracks here and there; minor losses to sennit coir bindings. Overall, this specimen is in fantastic solid condition for its old age! The stone blade is all original and it too is in great condition.

Just examine photos for best description. This is a beautiful old Polynesian object! 32 inches / 81 cms. 10 inches / 25 cms. 6 inches / 15 cms.
